CIC directors meet stakeholders including Hilary Benn MP, Network Rail and Leeds City Council to discuss future use of Holbeck Viaduct
The directors of Holbeck Viaduct Project Community Interest Company today met with representatives from local government, property developers and stakeholders to review the projects progress and discuss ways to unlock a pathway for the 'Holbeck Highline' to take shape.
Hosted by Leeds United at Elland Road, attendees including Network Rail, Leeds Civic Trust, CEG, Hillary Benn MP, Leeds BID, Edward Architects, Urban Wildness, Leeds City councillors, LCC and Leeds United.
The meeting was productive with much consensus for the vision for the project and it's benefits in terms of sustainable travel, growing the economy and promoting biodiversity.
Following the meeting we are pleased to announce that we have received two offers of matched funding to help fund public consultations and pre-planning applications, both of which will inform a longer term full planning application for the use of the viaduct.
